Kim's December ornaments

I actually made quite a few ornaments in December, and some of them fit the theme of santa/snowmen. I made and/or finished 3 for DS's school teachers, 1 for a parent helper and 8 for the calisthenics ladies I coach. Here's a santa, not sure why he won't load the right way:

Here's another one that fits the theme:

Sally's November & December Ornaments

I never got around to posting my November ornament so here it is along with my December.

Also showing the ornaments from this year that I finally made up!

Merry Christmas to All and thank you Lainey for organising this for the past 2 years. I've had great fun choosing what to stitch :)

My rather large December ornament

My Santa ornament is a bit larger than normal but I figure it's what I wanted to do so here he is all stitched

and even framed for Christmas

This Santa is from Simply Old Fashioned and is Stitched St. Nick VII.  I changed the thread colors from the traditional red and white to browns and ecru.

Merry Christmas!

Thank-you !

Thank you so much to each and every one of you who have taken part in the Christmas ornament Sal.  All the ornaments look wonderful.
Due to a number of my close family members being seriously ill this year my stitching has been non-existent and any internet time I've had has been very limited. I hope there will be someone who will continue the SAL in 2014.
Merry Christmas & Best Wishes for 2014!

Lainey x

Sorry I meant that I won't have time to set up the blog. I hope that there will be someone else willing to organise the SAL.

I'm early for November

but I finished it last night and remembered to take a picture of it, so here it is:

Unfortunately, I forgot to get the designer's name but the pattern came from the 2009 JCS Christmas issue.  I changed the bird from blue to red (DMC 498) and stitched it over one on a small piece of 28-count candy-striped fabric in my stash.  After stitching, I coffee-stained the whole thing to tone down the white in the fabric.

Sally's October Ornament

I am a little late getting my October ornament finished as it took longer than I expected. I actually changed my mind and stitched a completely different one than I had planned!

This is My Big Toe Designs Always In My Heart from the 2011 JCS Christmas Ornament mag. This is in memory of my Dad in particular, who passed away last January, but also my Mum and parents in law.

This month I'm stitching CCN Winter's Eve.

October's ornie

I'm a little late with my October ornament because I kept forgetting to take a picture.  I stitched 2, one for my brother and one for a friend.
